Announcement
Welcome to my Etsy shop! I'm on an extended RV trip as we celebrate my husband's retirement. Join the journey at #PotterOnWheels, or subscribe to our blog on my website at www.susanohanlonpottery.com.
While on the road, I'll be making and listing my handmade ceramic jewelry in my Etsy. During this time, you can pre-order my popular BanditBowl (now an Etsy's Pick!) on my website at https://www.susanohanlonpottery.com/pet-bowls, or browse other one-of-a-kind, in-stock items available to ship in April, 2024 at https://www.susanohanlonpottery.com/shop-pottery.
Thank you for your patience and support while we celebrate this milestone in our life together. If you need to reach me with questions about a previous purchase, please email me at Susan [!at] SusanOHanlonPottery.com. My cell service may not always be reliable, but I will respond to your email as quickly as possible.
Connect with me on social (@SusanOHanlonPottery) and visit my website at www.SusanOHanlonPottery.com to join my email list and sign up for my newsletter or blog.
My regular studio production practice, including my popular BanditBowl (now a Etsy’s Pick!) will resume in April, 2024, with orders shipping out in May/June 2024.
Thank you for visiting my Etsy shop, and for supporting handmade!

5 out of 5 starsBest quality bowls I’ve ever seen. I get compliments on them for how great they look. They are definitely pricey, but worth it

5 out of 5 starsMy dog has used this bowl for 2 months now and, from the day it was used, she has been much healthier. Before, she'd consume her food soo rapidly that it would cause her pain/discomfort later in the day. Not so with this bowl. Problem entirely solved. Ordering and shipping was easy as well. This bowl is a perfect design and is worth the wait.

My mom made her first #BanditBowl for me and I love it! I spend my days watching for the post man (and squirrels and bunnies), and keep an eye on the clock so I can tell her when it's time to feed me or to play with me and my sister.

I hang out with my mom in her basement studio, and let her know when it's time to come outside to get some sunshine and to play with me. You know what they say about a dog's life? Yep...it is tough, but somebody has to do it!

Frequently asked questions
What are your Shipping & Handling fees?
I charge a packaging fee ranging from $3 to $8 per item, based on the packing required to ensure that your purchase arrives intact. These fees are included in shipping costs. Why? Well, some items require double boxing, others require extra packing material. This fee helps to offset these costs and ensure that your items arrive intact. Thanks for understanding!
Will you refund shipping overages?
Absolutely! For items NOT listed as "FREE SHIPPING" I automatically refund shipping overages of $2 or more (excluding insurance and the packing fee for that item, which varies based on the item purchased and its packing requirements).
For items listed as "FREE SHIPPING" I do not offer a refund of shipping overages, as baseline shipping fees are calculated into the purchase price.
If I return an item, are shipping charges refunded?
I am not able to refund outbound or inbound shipping charges on items returned to me for any reason other than my error, as in an extremely rare instance when an incorrect item is shipped or a product defect is detected after shipping.
Additionally, if an item purchased with "FREE SHIPPING" is returned for any reason other than my error, the cost of my outbound shipping on that order plus the handling fee for that item will be deducted from your total refund. Please understand that Etsy's "FREE" Shipping really isn't "FREE" and that the cost of shipping is calculated into the cost of the product you purchase. I will happily provide a purchase receipt to verify the shipping charges I paid on your order upon request.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Items listed as in-stock will normally ship within 2 business days. Most items are shipped insured via Priority Mail, which means a transit time of 1-3 business days in most parts of the continental U.S. Exceptions include large boxes measuring 1 cubic foot or more, or any box with any single dimensions of 14” or more (like Giant pet bowls, Compost Bins, Large Vases, etc.). These items may ship via UPS ground delivery, with transit time of up to 10 days depending on your location.
For items not in-stock, delivery will take longer. Because I'm always making new product, the production time for my most popular items can be anywhere from two to six weeks.
If you are curious about the estimated delivery of an item, please reach out to me!
More Information about the BANDIT Bowl Slow Feeder
I get so many questions about my Bandit Bowl slow feeders, so I'll answer some here:
My BanditBowls are handcrafted from stoneware for durability. With proper care, they will last for many years. Please wash them before use.
The durable glazes are safe for the dishwasher, but the ceramic surface is easy to clean by hand. Because dishwashers can be dangerous places for handmade goods, I recommend hand washing with occasional sanitizing in the dishwasher.
My bowls are safe for the microwave or oven! Please use appropriate precautions and be sure the bowl itself has cooled before offering your pet food heated in my bowls, as stoneware retains heat.
MORE INFO BELOW!
Feeding Guidelines & Use Instructions for my Bandit Bowl Slow Feeder Pet Bowls
To use, simply disperse the food as evenly as possible. When introducing the bowl for the first time or two, it may be helpful to heap a little extra food on top of the grooves. This allows your pet to satisfy that first initial hunger urge and minimizes any potentially negative reaction while your pet adjusts to their new bowl. In my experience, and that of my customers, most pets adapt very quickly to their new bowls and the benefits of the bowl do not diminish over time.
What size Bandit Bowl should I buy for my pet?
I am asked this question a lot! Etsy's platform doesn't provide enough space for me to adequately describe the best process to determine the appropriate size BanditBowl for your pup, so I've posted an easy to use, multi-step process on my website @ https://www.banditbowl.com that should help most customers.
If you still have questions, feel free to reach out to me by convo. Be sure to include a photo of your dog (in profile, preferably, so I can evaluate his/her anatomy), as well as information about their rating on my Canine Vacuum Scale and the volume of food you feed at each meal.
Please note that my cat bowls are one-size-fits-most.
